BMIS student visit LSPCA Oct 2023

Recently, we had the absolute pleasure of hosting a group of enthusiastic young students from Bishop Mackenzie International High School! These bright minds spent some time at our veterinary hospital, exploring the wonderful world of animal care and veterinary medicine.

In celebration of this year’s World Animal Day on 4th October, LSPCA joined hands with an enthusiastic group of school children from Biwi primary school in Lilongwe. The day was filled with exciting activities focused on promoting awareness and compassion towards animals. The event featured engaging art sessions, fun animal games, and an enlightening animal kindness lecture, all aimed at nurturing a culture of empathy and respect for our furry, feathered, and finned friends.

In a global climate where the welfare of animals, the preservation of our environment, and the fight against climate change are increasingly interlinked, the 7th Africa Animal Welfare Conference (AAWC) proved to be a pivotal gathering of minds and hearts dedicated to these causes. The Lilongwe Society for the Protection and Care of Animals (LSPCA) Programs Director, Dr. Madeline Nyamwanza, had the privilege of attending this transformative event in Kigali, Rwanda, from September 25th to 27th, 2023. The trip was made possible with the generous financial support of the WTG-Germany.
